One of the most important moments in our movement’s history will be celebrated in just a few weeks’ time: the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street.
We have a responsibility on 4th October 2026 to uphold the legacy of the people who fought side by side against fascism. However, this anniversary is not merely an opportunity for looking back; it is a call to action for the present day. The slogan ‘They shall not pass’ is just as important now as it was in 1936, and we must demonstrate that the spirit of Cable Street is still alive, well-organised, and ready to oppose any attempt to impose authority.
If this anniversary weekend is to be the strong show of working-class unity that it deserves to be, every single member of our Party must be actively involved.
The following tasks are an urgent priority for our Party:
GET SOCIAL – LIKE & FOLLOW
Go to the official Cable Street 90 Facebook page and Like and Follow it immediately. This is our central hub for sharing content, updates, and live coverage.

END.
