National Commissions

Capitalism and the ruling class wage their desperate fight to oppress working people and maintain their domination on every front of human life, both here in Britain and internationally.

As part of our strategy to build the Party and the struggle for socialism, the Communist Party is clear that working people and the Party also have to fight on every front to build the strength of the broad movement and for revolution.

There are also a number of areas of Party work which require specific focus and attention in order to build the Party more effectively and meet the tasks of the Congress and Britain’s Road to Socialism – for example the Party’s International Commission, responsible for developing the Party’s international and solidarity work, or the Political Education Commission, responsible for strengthening and improving Marxist-Leninist education within the Party.

The Executive Committee appoints and forms Commissions to develop policy for the struggle and undertake these specific areas of work. These bodies provide advice and remain accountable to the Executive Committee and the democratic structures of the Party.
