“The Political Committee shall have the responsibility for giving prompt and effective leadership in between meetings of the Executive Committee. The work of the Political Committee shall be subject to control by the Executive Committee.”
The Political Committee is elected as a sub-committee from among members of the Executive Committee.
Between meetings of the full Executive Committee, the Political Committee meets to provide fast and accountable political and organisational leadership to the Party as a whole.
The Political Committee has a particular focus on providing clear political leadership to Party members and organisations in the context of rapidly developing political conditions. The Political Committee also aims to mobilise all Party comrades and organisations for key mobilisations throughout the year.
